So sorry to hear of “Auntie” Shirley’s passing. I have many memories of my time at her house. Some of my favourites involve the peanut butter jar under the table and us kids stealing the fresh buns from the top of the table, learning to sew, playing in her basement and dancing to crocodile rock in the living room. She was a very special person that will always be my Auntie Shirley with a special place in my heart.

My deepest sympathy to you Brenda along with Ron & Mike in the loss of your mom. Two words come to mind when thinking of your mom are “ warm & welcoming”. Growing up and spending time at Shirley’s house on 7th was one where she always made you feel welcome (regardless of how many kids were there from “littles” to bigs” it didn’t matter) She always had a big smile and her home was filled with laughter. She had a heart of gold on those frigid winter mornings where she would start up her car and give us teenagers a ride to the comp to spare us the long walk in the cold. They say it’s the little things in life that mean the most and her kindness in doing this has never been forgotten ❤️ Her baking was always a treat and her creativity in sewing (especially when it was for gifts) she put so much thought into them they were always so special and meant so much! So many memories of such an awesome lady! Sincere sympathy to you and your families. Arlene & Family

I am so very sorry to hear of Shirley’s passing. When I would see her at A & W, or at a fowl supper at St. Olaf’s, or bringing her delicious rhubarb or apple pies to Diamond Energy for a treat, she always had a lovely smile and always had time for a visit.
