I still remember Mr. Schruder as the janitor from Fairview School 40 years ago when I was a student there. He was very soft-spoken and one of the kindest people you'd ever meet. He not only cleaned the school but genuinely cared for the kids.
Pat and I were very sorry to hear of Earl’s passing. I worked with Earl at Fairview school and came to appreciate his quiet and reserved demeanour. Earl was very conscientious and took great pride in his work. I was always very proud of how neat and clean he kept our school. You could see your reflection in the shine on the floor. It was not uncommon to find Earl, along with various family members, working on weekends to catch up on one job or another.
After our retirement our paths didn’t cross often but on the rare occasion that they did, it was a pleasure to visit with him. I’m sure he will be deeply missed. Our deepest condolences to his family.

So sorry to hear of your dad's passing Japhia. You were his devoted daughter and caregiver before he proceeded to live at the Meadows. I remember your dad to be a quiet, kind, humble and gentle man....Christ-like traits that he passed along to you! I know you will miss him lots. Psalms 34:18 says that "The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit". I hope you can find comfort in this verse knowing that your dad now lives in the presence of the Lord and in a much better place!

Darrell and family,
So sorry to hear of the passing of your dad. Was such a pleasure to visit with whenever we crossed paths. A soft spoken, kind hearted man. Thinking of you all during this difficult time.
I fondly remember Earl when he was at Fairview School on my staff. He was excellent in the way he went about keeping our school 'spit and polished' and all our staff thought he was the best.My condolences to his family and know that you will have many great memories to comfort you in your loss.
