On behalf of the children of George and Kit Wedel, I would like to send condolences to Harvey Jahnke's family. Our parents were good friends with Harvey and Ruth when we lived in Herbert in the 1950's. Many memories of good fellowship were made during this time. Our parents continued this friendship after we had moved from Herbert. After reading the obituary in the Herbert Herald, it was evident that Harvey's life was well lived and to the Glory of God. Dear Jahnke family, Our lives have been made richer because of your family. There were many good memories made at your home/ranch. Learning to ride horseback, eating delicious meals, and a lot of laughter and good times. It was such a great 100th birthday party for Uncle Harvey last year, glad we there. May God give you comfort, prayers and with sincere condolences, love from aunt Selma and uncle Bill’s children, Geraldene, Bev and Randy.

My sincere condolences to all the family. I have so many fond memories of Mr. Jahnke- from the dad/husband of friends, Board Chairman at Herbert Nursing Home when I first started work,to church and community member- he was always very committed, hard working- and always interested in the people around him- and in return earned much respect. A life well lived but deeply missed. I know you will enjoy the memories shared- so sorry not to be able to be there in person. Take care Mona
