Our association and friendship with Clarence goes back 75 years. Clarence was 6 1/2 years older than I (Norman). 11 years later in 1958 Clarence and his first wife, Kathleen became our pastors in Assiniboia, SK.. When Sharon and I were married in 1959, Clarence assisted in our wedding. Clarence and Kathleen sang at our wedding. A year later in 1960 Kathleen and Sharon were "in the family way", with Kathleen and Sharon 'enjoying' pregnancy together! Our son Clifton was born first and their son Wes was born a few weeks later. A number of years later we were deeply saddened when Kathleen was tragically killed in an auto accident in Africa. At Kathleen's funeral, Sharon said to Clarence, "I suppose, Clarence, that the first question you'll ask Jesus when you get to Heaven will be 'WHY?'". Typical of Clarence, his answer was, "Sharon, it won't matter then!". A few years later Sharon and I on several occasions went to Africa to join with Lorne and Shirley Marshall together with Clarence to conduct open air crusades and crusades in churches in several south-central African countries. Typical of Africa, many thousands of people attended these meetings with many hundreds accepting Jesus as Savior, being baptized with the Holy Spirit, healed from their diseases and delivered from demonic intrusion into their lives. We felt that these crusades and the results of these crusades were a fitting tribute to Kathleen! On one of our trips to Africa, Clarence took us to the spot where Kathleen was tragically killed. At that spot we could say "So long, Kathleen, we will see you in the Morning!". A short while thereafter we had the pleasure of meeting Pearl. What a blessing and help you have been to Clarence these many years!
Our sincere condolences to Pearl, Wes, Patsy and families.
To our life long friend, Clarence, we say: You have fought a good fight, you have kept the FAITH......you are in the presence of Jesus enjoying your crowns and rewards! You are enjoying the company of your loved ones and friends who have gone on before you! So long our dear friend, we will see you in the MORNING!
Love from Sharon and Norman Juell
