Cornelius was a great man who made the world a better place to live in. I had always appreciated his warm smile and laugh. He brought an easygoing kindness like no other to the places he volunteered at. A true gentleman and friend who will be missed by many.

I have great memories of Uncle Cornie. He was kind and patient with his little nieces and nephews who ran around the farm, possibly getting into mischief. I knew he cared about his family and he will be missed.

We were in a small group with Cornelius for a few years and appreciated getting to know him there. He was a man of wisdom, patience and kindness, always ready with a smile and a handshake. We are blessed to have had the opportunity to know him.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. Each one of our family has special memories of your Dad but the biggest one was he always was smiling.
From the memories of at each others farms; to camp to family events we hold them dear and appreciate them more. Know that even though time and miles separate us, you are part of a larger family.

I am so very blessed to have had a chance to work with Cornelius. He volunteered at the MCC furniture store during the time I worked there. He was a true gentleman: always kind hearted, patient, encouraging, and thoughtful.

I didn't know your Dad very well but when my husband , Herb, was in the Pslliser we got to know him, because if we were sitting downstairs in the common area he would stop and chat with us. Then when the Palliser closed and everyone was moved to the Meadows your Dad found us and we visited there! Your Dad was definitely a very caring person and a good Christian. I think when the Lord met him at the pearly gates He will have said "Well done, good and faithful servant"! He can visit with my husband now again too. Too his family my deepest condolences.

Your dad was a faithful attender of our music nights at the Lutheran church. He enjoyed the old hymns and often was seen wiping a tear away from his eyes. He was so encouraging after each program and always made a point of thanking us for our music. Cherish your memories and may God be your comfort and strength during these difficult times.

Gary & I have been blessed knowing Cornelius. 11 years ago he chose our son from the High school graduation class and prayed for him faithfully all these years. What a great gift from a then stranger.
Since then we have worked along side Cornelius as he was a big part of the Alpha ministry at Trailview.
My husband was part of his early morning men’s bible study group.
I enjoyed working with Cornelius as he gave his faith story to the Trailview Oasis group at the Gathering which he looked forward to being a part of.
It has been a privilege knowing your dear father. He ran the race well and is an example to us how to finished well
God comfort you all as you grieve his passing.

We did not know Mr. Bute well but we got to know him when we had family in the Palliser. He also came to a few mission conferences at the church we attend. Always took the time for a chat and share how “life” was going. May the Lord give you all comfort and peace during the days ahead. He awaits his family in the Presence of Jesus. We saw him as a kind gentle soul. Our sympathies to you. Jerome and Eva Austring
