ELMGREN, RODNEY OLIVER - It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Rodney on September 13, 2023 at Willow Creek Manor at the age of 97.

Rodney was born July 30, 1926 at Admiral, Sask. He first attended school at Early Rural School in the North Scotsguard area and later at Shaunavon High School. He also farmed North of the Scotsguard area. He met the love of his life, Dorothy Mary Green a teacher from Bradford, West Yorkshire England who was on a 2 year teacher’s contract. They were married on October 16, 1958. The couple farmed until 1984 at which time they retired to reside permanently at their home in Swift Current that they had purchased in 1981. Rodney and Dorothy travelled extensively visiting many places around the world with annual visits to England.

Rodney was predeceased by his beloved wife, Dorothy Mary (Green) Elmgren on December 21, 2020 as well as his father, Oliver Elmgren (1967), his mother, Elizabeth Elmgren (1988), brother Quiton Elmgren (1978) and Bruce Elmgren (1977), his father-in-law Albert Green (1967) and mother-in-law Mary Elizabeth Green (1992). He will be greatly missed by many.

A memorial graveside service honoring Rodney and Dorothy will be held in the spring. Memorial donations to the Dr.Noble Irwin Healthcare Foundation would be appreciated.
