Obituary of Larry Heard
HEARD - Larry Anthony Cyril (66) of Abbey, Saskatchewan, passed away peacefully on July 20, 2023 surrounded by his loving wife of 44 years and family. Larry was born to Cyril and Mary Heard on April 9, 1957 in Swift Current, Saskatchewan as the second eldest of five boys. Larry completed his early years of education at Baxterville School, then moving on to Abbey School until his graduation of Grade 12. He continued his studies in welding at the Kelsey Campus in Saskatoon, however, he returned home to fulfill his true passion in life: farming. Larry will be fondly remembered far and wide for his genuine personality, and extensive collection of combines that were collected over the years as part of his business, "Heard’s Combine Salvage" at his farm Southwest of Abbey, Saskatchewan.
In 1979 Larry married the love of his life of 44 years, Marilyn Tumbach, and together they raised three boys. Larry enjoyed spending time with his family, bantering between his brothers and neighbours as to which was best: ford or chevy, and being present for his grandchildren. Larry truly enjoyed travelling with his wife, spending time fishing, tinkering on his cars, and schooling his boys in a round of pool during the holidays.
Larry is survived by his wife Marilyn, and their three children: Travis (Cheri), and their children: Logan and Brooklynn. Wyatt (Michelle), and their children: Weston and Tayla. Cody (Courtney), and their children: Quinn and Ciara. His brothers Mike (Paulette), and Rick (Barb). Larry was predeceased by his parents Cyril and Mary, and siblings Billy, and Randy. Heaven gained one of the best, in which he will be dearly missed. Until we see you again.
