Florence Irene Falk passed away peacefully at the Herbert Integrated Longterm Care Centre on March 22, 2023 at the age of 91. Florence was born February 13, 1932 to Peter and Lena Reimer in Lucky Lake, SK.  She lived the majority of her life in Herbert, receiving all her schooling there. She made many school friends who became very dear to her throughout her life, they gave her the nickname ‘Flip” which stayed with here all her life. Sadly her father passed away when she was 16, so her mother and her became best of friends being an only child. Florence married John G. Falk on October 12, 1952 after John “flipped” over her.  John and Florence were married 36 years.  Florence enjoyed living in her own home until December 2022 when her health began to deteriorate. She was passionate about keeping a very clean house and yard. Her neighbours and their pets (Otis & Charlie) were an important part of her daily life. Florence spent countless hours singing in the church choir, trios and singing in the Manor and Nursing Homes, as well as many funerals over the years. In her home she loved listening to CD’s while enjoying another passion of drawing and decorating for each season – Christmas being her favourite time of year. 

Florence will be lovingly remembered by her children Myra (Darrell) Shipley, Perry Falk, Colleen (Ken) Mathies; grandchildren Michael (Amy) Shipley, Melissa (Nick) Racine, Nathan, Clint (Pamela) Mathies, Courtney (Matt) Gruhlke; great-grandchildren, Izzy, Roxy Shipley, Miles, Myla Racine, Nicole, Natalie Mathies, Skylar, Summer, Noah, Cali, Cassidy Gruhlke, sister-in-law Dora Hershmillar and many nieces and nephews.

We as a family would like to thank Dr. Kassett and the staff of the Herbert Hospital, Prairie Wind Estates, Cypress House and the Herbert Nursing Home whom lovingly cared for our mother.
