Obituary of Brian Kelly Jensen Tumbler
Brian Kelly Tumbler passed away peacefully at the Cypress Regional Hospital in Swift Current, SK, on February 1,2023. Brian had been living at the Gull Lake Special Care Home for the past couple of years, when it was established that it was not safe for him to live on his own. God has taken Brian to be with his family who he was predeceased by; His parents, Anna and Bill Tumbler, and his many aunts and uncles that passed before him. Brian was born November 29, 1948, in Swift Current SK, which is where he was raised as a child and he stayed in Swift Current, where he spent most of his life. Brian attended school in Swift Current from Grade 1 to Grade 12. After graduating Brian was employed by the Comprehensive High School as a boilerman and a custodian for many years.
Brian had a lot of friends and acquaintances and he treated everyone with respect. He enjoyed visiting with his family, relatives and all his friends. One of his favorite pastimes was watching T.V. and movies. Brian had also owned several different cars in his lifetime and was very proud of each one. He took very good care of them. Brian also enjoyed meeting with his friends or relatives for coffee and subs at his favorite Subway place downtown. Oh, and yes let’s not forget the sweets Brian loved, especially peanut butter cookies! Brian was a very respectable and thoughtful person and did the best he could for everyone. Brian will be missed by all.
There will be a short service officiated by Chaplain Bob Cappelle at Parkside Memorial Funeral Home (69 4th Ave NE) in Swift Current, SK, On Wednesday, February 8th at 2:30 P.M. Visitation will be available in the hours prior to the service for those that wish to see Brian to say their goodbyes. There will be a social with coffee and squares after the service if anyone would like to stay and share their memories of Brian.
Donations in Brian’s memory can be made to the Swift Current SPCA, Canadian Cancer Society or to a local charity of your choice.
