Obituary of Denise Boucher
BOUCHER - DENISE (1956-2022)
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Denise Boucher (nee Theriault), of Swift Current, SK at the age of 66. Surrounded by family, she passed peacefully on May 19th, 2022 at Clover House in Swift after a long courageous battle with cancer. She is survived by her husband David, daughters Lorene(Waylon), Lisa(Graham), grandchildren Adaline and Elijah, sisters Nicole(Fidele) and Michelle(Byron), brothers Pete, Claude(Marianne), and Richard(Rachel), sister-in-law Cathy(Guy) and numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Joseph Elie Theriault and Marguerite Theriault(Levesque), brother Guy, brother-in-law Byron and sister-in-law Marianne.
Denise was born in Rivers, MB on February 2, 1956 and was part of a large family. She grew up in a military family and always shared about her fond memories of growing up on the military bases in Rivers, MB and Valcartier, QB. She met Dave in 1972 and they married on May 7, 1976 in Comox, BC. They moved to Saskatchewan in 1978 when Dave was stationed with the RCMP and it has been their home since. Denise touched many lives as they travelled throughout Saskatchewan with Dave’s job. She enjoyed her job as a bank teller at the various communities they lived in and having the opportunity to interact with clients every day. People say that a heart that is broken is a heart that’s been loved, and anyone that has had the privilege of meeting Denise knows that love. She has made an impact on the hearts of many friends and family over the years with her open personality and her memorable sense of humour.
Her family was everything to her. You could always find Denise fishing in the summer, and she often “out fished” those with her and we enjoyed many “fish frys” together at exactly 5 o’clock. She spent endless hours supporting her daughters in their musical and educational endeavors. Family time was a special time, and Christmas was her favourite when everyone could be together. She always took the opportunity to boast about her daughters’ accomplishments to family and friends. Her most cherished title was the title of Nana as nothing made her more proud than to share about her grandchildren.
Our hearts are broken but they were loved. We know that you are no longer in pain and when God called you home he sang Alleluia. We love you Hun, Firecracker, Momma, Nana, Little Sis. Rest in peace.
