BUSSE - Myrna

Myrna Busse (nee Sabine) of Swift Current and formerly of Hallonquist area,  passed away peacefully with family by her side at Clover House on April 4, 2022. Myrna was born to the late Leonard & Myrtle Sabine on July 3, 1941. Myrna fell in love with Ed Busse and they were married in January 1960.  Ed & Myrna lived in the Burnham area for 11 years and then moved to Ed’s family farm at Hallonquist to carry on the family farming tradition. Myrna was a busy farm wife raising two children, Cheryl & Kevin while working alongside Ed.  Myrna loved to cook & bake.  She loved to share her favourite Norwegian food every Christmas.  Myrna was involved with 4-H at both Burnham and Hallonquist clubs. Myrna was a member of the LCW at Hallonquist Lutheran Church. She also enjoyed playing the piano at church for many years.   Myrna and Ed enjoyed Square Dancing at Waldeck and other locations in the area. Myrna & Ed liked to camp and enjoyed many trips to the mountains & bus tours. Myrna is survived by her loving husband Ed; daughter: Cheryl (Dave) Bulbeck; grandchildren Melissa (Eric) Kristjansson (great-grandchildren Seth & Colby), Tanya (Blaine) Hardenne (great-grandchildren Connor, Emmett & Keenan); son Kevin (Tammy) Busse; grandchildren Ryan (Wendy) Busse (great-grandchildren Lane, Jesse & Kade), Laura (Tyler) Binner (great-grandchildren Ellie & Logan). Myrna is also survived by 2 Sisters; Donna (Don) Lopeter, Janice (Guy) Denton;  2 Brothers Wayne (Barb) Sabine, Keith Sabine.  Sisters-in-law Carol (Eldon) Dunham, Marilyn (Wayne) Redekopp, brother-in-law Brian (Sandra) Busse. Myrna is also survived by many nieces, nephews and many treasured friends. Myrna is survived by her Aunt Jennie and many cousins. Myrna was predeceased by her parents Leonard & Myrtle Sabine and her in-laws Reynold & Louise Busse. Myrna felt very blessed to have 62 wonderful years of marriage to Ed.  She was so proud of & loved spending time with her children and their spouses, her 4 grandchildren & their spouses and her 10 great grandchildren. Myrna will forever be treasured in the hearts of her family and friends. The family will miss Mom’s never-ending love and concern for all us. We love you and will miss you very much. A private family graveside service will take place at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to  St. Oaf Lutheran Church, 665 Central Ave. N. Swift Current, Sk. S9H 0M2 (etransfer: stolaf@sasktel.net) or to a charity of your choice. Arrangements are entrusted to Parkside Memorial Funeral Home - Ryan Cappelle & Hayden Cappelle.

The family of Myrna Busse wish to extend our deepest thanks to Dr. Bakare, Dr. Lund & Dr. Ruban in Swift Current & Dr. Moser in Saskatoon for the exceptional care our wife, mom, grandma & great grandma was given.

We would like to thank all the RN’s, LPN’s & CCA’s at Cypress Regional Hospital & Clover House.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all the love we have received.  We appreciate all the cards, visits, phone calls, messages, flowers, food & donations made in memory of Myrna.  Many thanks to Pastor Greg for his visits with Myrna & our family.
