SCOTT - Ewart


The family of Ewart Scott announce his passing on February 27,2022 at Willow Creek Manor. He was 91 years of age.


Left to mourn his passing are his wife of 66 years, Joyce and his brother Tom (Elaine). He is survived by his son Bill (Ann) and daughters Sheila and Heather (Floyd). Also, by his grandsons, Douglas and James Scott and his granddaughter Amy Jensen.


Ewart was born in Roblin Manitoba. Following high school, he worked for the Hudson Bay Company in northern Saskatchewan before enlisting in the RCAF. He operated a hardware store in Biggar for ten years prior to moving to Swift Current where he sold agrochemicals throughout the southwest for Green Cross and later Ciba Geigy, for 25 years. He ended his career with Saskatchewan Crop Insurance in Hazlet. 


He was the past president of the Swift Current Associated Canadian Travellers. He was a long-term volunteer with the Saskatchewan Lung Association and recipient of their humanitarian award for his work with the asthma camp. An active member and an elder with St. Andrews Presbyterian church for many years.


Ewart enjoyed gardening and woodworking in his retirement and was an active participant in the “table of truth” coffee group for many years.


The family would like to thank the staff at Willow Creek Manor for their kind care.


A memorial service will be held at a future date to be determined. Arrangements are in care of Parkside Memorial Funeral Home – Ryan Cappelle & Hayden Cappelle.
