Obituary of Abe Frank Ens

Please share a memory of Abe to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

ENS – Abe Frank our dear brother, age 76 passed away peacefully on January 11, 2022.  He was born March 21,1945 to Pete and Susie Ens of Blumenhof, SK.  He is survived by his sister Joyce and brother Ronald.  He grew up in Blumenhof and attended school there and at Wymark School.  He started trucking at a very early age and spent his young life putting in many long, weary hours on the road.  He drove well over 4 million miles in his lifetime. He enjoyed anything to do with machinery and mechanics and was very good at it.  He was neat, clean, organized, dependable, and punctual, he was always early and never late.  He did a lot of reading and would read through the Bible once a year.  Abe was baptized in the Blumenhof Gospel Church upon his confession of his faith, which he kept his whole life.  He did the church books for many years, right up until the church closed.  Like his dad, he had severe hearing loss for many years, which steadily got worse until it was almost totally gone.  We are thankful that God so gently called him home in his sleep. “Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints” Psalm 116:15. A funeral service was held on Monday, January 17, 2022 at Parkside Memorial Funeral Home with Chaplain Bob Cappelle officiating.  Abe was buried at the Blumenhof cemetery beside his parents.  Arrangements are in care of Parkside Memorial Funeral Home – Ryan Cappelle & Hayden Cappelle.
