Obituary of Jim Kazeil

Please share a memory of Jim to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

JAMES (JIM) KAZEIL - NOVEMBER 15, 1934 – NOVEMBER 15, 2021

Jim was born in Swift Current to Hasma and Assem Kazeil. He graced this world for exactly 87 years, always with the energy of a young man. Jim was raised on a farm, which he took over at 19 when his father passed. He also worked off the farm and leveraged that experience to farming and life.

Jim, with his Sweetheart of 61+ years, Bernice, raised a family that now includes 9 grandkids. They worked hard to build a thriving farm and enjoyed visiting family, friends, travelling and camping. They were talented dance partners as well.

Jim loved land, machinery, tools, and business, especially bartering, buying, and dealing but he was always fair. Though he worked long hours, he made time to help others.

Jim was powerful - determined, strong, and often intense, but loving - with a soft spot for the farm cats!

Jim’s presence, sense of humor, playful ribbing, friendship, and insight is forever in our hearts and mind.

Jim is survived by his Wife – Bernice (Galey); his daughter Laurie Reimer (Syd); children Ashton (Ella), Myranda, Serena Assie (Tanner) and Chanelle, son Randall (Christine); children Aidan, Kara, Liam, Ethan and Keilan and numerous other Relatives.

Jim is predeceased by his Parents, stepfather Erling Silseth and only brother Alex.

The Family wishes to express their gratitude of the wonderful care the Clover House Staff provided.

In lieu of Flowers, Donations will be appreciated made in Jim’s name to: Clover House – Meadows Auxiliary C/O Eleanore Forge 308 – 230 Lister-Kaye Cres. Swift Current, SK S9H 0A2.

A private graveside service is being held at Hillcrest Cemetery in Swift Current, SK. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Parkside Memorial Funeral Home – Ryan Cappelle & Hayden Cappelle.
