Obituary of Agnes Friesen

FRIESEN – Agnes passed away on Wednesday, September 29, 2021 at the Meadows Long Term Care Facility.  Agnes was born in Blumenhoff, SK on November 29, 1940 to parents Cornelius and Mary Wiebe.  She is survived by her husband Jake; children Lorraine (Dave) Nickle, Vicki (Craig) Robinson, Steve (Jennifer) Friesen, Trisha (Charlie) Walters; grandchildren Jasmin Robinson, Keegan (Abigail) Robinson, Mackenzie Robinson, Ryan (Briel)  Walters, Kennedy Walters (Dennis Girardin), Kaiden Pagonis, Kaeler Pagonis – Friesen, Drayton Pagonis – Friesen; great-grandchildren Kinley Korven, Karson Girardin and many nieces and nephews.  Agnes is predeceased by parents Cornelius & Mary Wiebe; sisters Betty Belter, Helen Friesen; brother Peter Wiebe, brother-in-law Cliff Belter; granddaughter Jordan Walters, great-granddaughter Kalli Korven and  nephew Sheldon Belter.  Agnes enjoyed music, singing, playing guitar and she taught her children how to enjoy singing and harmonizing,  taught her grandchildren the freedom of creativity in drawings, painting, coloring and sewing. She enjoyed making crafts, and making baby seat covers was her specialty.    She loved gardening, growing her vegetables, flowers and looking after her shrubs.  She loved Bible studies and chatting about stories and lessons in the Bible.  Agnes loved reading Daniel Steele and anything else that had a good love story, but her favorite book of all was the Bible.  A funeral service for Agnes will be held on Tuesday, October 5, 2021 at Parkside Memorial Funeral Home. The family is very grateful for the excellent care Agnes received ab the Meadows House #21. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Society.   Arrangements are in care of Parkside Memorial Funeral Home – Ryan Cappelle & Hayden Cappelle.
