Obituary of Darlene Carole Bos

BOS - Darlene Carole (Svenson) (1942 – 2021) passed away on Friday, August 6, 2021 at the age of 78 years.  Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 55 years Marinus (Mickey) Bos and their children Melodie (Troy) Chalifoux, Wesley (Fiona) Bos and Nicole Bos and seven grandchildren: Jacob Chalifoux, Matthew Chalifoux, Rhys Bos, Tucker Bos, Tyler Bang, Samantha Rath and Kingston Rath.  Also left to mourn are Darlene’s siblings: Larry Svenson, Gail (Gene) Kleim, Curt (Angie) Svenson, Debbie (Andy) Shirkie and her sister-in-law Marcia (Ed) Cunningham as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents Clarence Svenson and Gladys Wright and her sister Cheryl (in infancy).

Darlene embraced being a farm wife and mother. She was always ready to lend a helping hand with anything but especially loved calving season and hauling meals to the field during harvest.  Her many talents included gardening, canning, baking, sewing and creating special photo albums for her children and grandchildren to enjoy. Her solid work ethic and caring heart served her well in everything she chose to do. For many years she worked as a registered nurse in Swift Current and for Home Care in Cabri. She cherished the many friendships she made during those years.

The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff of the Prairie Health Care Centre for their compassionate care of Darlene and the kindness extended to family members during a difficult time.

A private family interment and time of remembrance will be held at a later date.

Those wishing to remember Darlene with a donation may do so by giving to the “Cabri Hospital Auxiliary” for the purchase of a new x-ray machine. Funeral arrangements are in care of Parkside Memorial Funeral Home – Ryan Cappelle & Hayden Cappelle.
