DEY - Helen Agnes (Horton), November 23, 1920 - March 18, 2021 - Helen Dey, born in Eston, SK on November 23, 1920 to Jack and Sadie Horton, passed away peacefully at the Meadows in Swift Current, SK on March 18, 2021. Helen is survived by her sons Wayne (Wendy) Dey and Larry (Pat) Dey, Grandchildren Cherie Dey, Corie (Trevor) Dey, Shannan (Derek) Hurlbut, Kevin Dey and Katelynn Dey, great-grandchildren Tyson Garrett, Justine Garrett & Gavin Garrett, Connor Hurlbut & Madilyn Hurlbut, her sister Bea (Jack) Perratt and numerous nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her husband John "Jack" Dey, parents Jack & Sadie Horton, brothers Harry Horton, Jack Horton & Jim Horton. Helen married Jack Dey on March 30, 1946 in Dodsland, SK.  The couple had two sons, Wayne in 1949 and Larry in 1952.  The family moved several times throughout Saskatchewan finally settling in Swift Current in 1965. Helen worked at Smith Jewellers and later the Carmel Ladies Wear. She enjoyed being a member of the Elmwood Golf Club for many years where she was proud to say she got a hole-in-one.  She and Jack enjoyed numerous sunny winters in Mesa Arizona and made many life long friends there. She was a gifted painter and her artwork and china painting was displayed at several events throughout the community.  She was an avid gardener spending her Spring and Summer days in her beautiful backyard tending to her rose bushes and apple tree. She was a talented, kind and gentle soul who will be dearly missed.     The funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 25, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Parkside Memorial Funeral Home.
