Obituary of Evelyn Williamson

WILLIAMSON, Evelyn Levina (nee: Wilms) March 25, 1926 – February 11, 2021. It is with profound sadness to announce the passing of Evelyn Levina Williamson on February 11, 2021 at the age of 94.  She was predeceased by her husband and friend ‘the love of her life’, William Theodore Williamson, as well as two brothers Raymond Wilms and Rev. Glenn Wilms. Evelyn will also fondly be remembered by her younger brother Dale Wilms (Cora Wilms) of Swift Current, Saskatchewan.  Evelyn was born in the Swift Current area and was raised on the family homestead property north of Waldeck. Evelyn was a lifetime resident of Swift Current and participated in several different organizations throughout the community.  Evelyn will be lovingly remembered by her three children -- oldest daughter AnnaMae (Art Kruppke) of Spruce Grove, Alberta; only son Murray Williamson (Lorna Kroll) of Whitehorse, Yukon; and the youngest daughter Darlene (George Hands) of Creston, British Columbia.  Evelyn shall also be lovingly remembered by her grandsons, as well as a large group of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.  Evelyn’s many close friends will cherish the fond times spent together. The family thanks and appreciates the unconditional loving staff of Willow Creek Manor who provided friendship and comfort throughout her stay. During Evelyn’s residency at Willow Creek Manor, she related to Willow Creek Manor as her new home.  In keeping with her wishes, a private service will be held for Evelyn on February 17, 2021.  Due to the Covid19 pandemic, a gathering will be postponed to a future undetermined date.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to ‘The Canadian Lung Association’ #300-1750 Courtwood Crescent, Ottawa, Ontario K2C2B5.  Condolences may be emailed to Parkside Memorial Funeral Home at parksidefuneralhome.com, or alternatively, mailed to the Williamson Family c/o 1034 11^th Avenue North, Creston, British Columbia V0B 1G6.  Arrangements are in care of Parkside Memorial Funeral Home – Ryan Cappelle & Hayden Cappelle.
