Please share a memory of Gary to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Gary “Magoo” Dickie - It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Gary (Magoo), our loving and devoted father, papa and friend, on Wednesday, October 7th, 2020. Gary is survived by his son Christopher (Kelsey) Dickie, and grandchildren Peyton and Ryker, brother Brian (Donna), sister Pattie, and numerous nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his father Adam, mother Georgina, brother Ronald, and sister Linda. Gary was born in Leader, Saskatchewan on December 4th, 1950. He lived on the farm outside of Sceptre where he enjoyed playing hockey and baseball. Gary would laugh and talk about the farm and life in Sceptre fondly. Gary was an avid lover of all sports. He was fan of the local sport teams, Swift Current 57’s and the Swift Current Broncos and could often be seen attending the games and sitting in his “usual” spot. Together, him and Chris had season tickets to the Roughriders and would travel to Regina throughout the summer to cheer on the green and white. Gary loved watching and playing with his two grandchildren. They always knew that Papa would buy them a milkshake or sneak them a candy or two! Gary left a lasting mark on those who knew him. He was a kind, generous and giving man, who would do anything for anyone. He will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts. In lieu of flowers please send any donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association or to Telemiracle.
