Please share a memory of Marlon to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

DYCK – Marlon Gordon, age 45 was surrounded by his loving family when he passed away on Thursday, October 10, 2019 at the Cypress Regional Hospital, after battling with cancer.  He is survived by his beloved wife and best friend Lori Shaw-Dyck, son Dayton, daughter Bretta, mother Violet, sister and brother in law, Ashley and Alicia Dyck; their 3 daughters, Hailey, Katie and Presley, brother in law and girlfriend Keegan Lockwood and Callie Illerbrun, sister in law, Courtney Burley; her daughters, Taryn and Aemelia and countless loving aunts, uncles and cousins.  Marlon was born November 13, 1973 in Swift Current to Elmer and Violet Dyck.  Marlon grew up and attended school in Swift Current, in high school he loved playing football and spending time with his close friends.  Shortly after graduating Marlon met the love of his life Lori.  Their love was what most can only dream about.  In 2004 they welcomed their son Dayton and in 2012 their beautiful daughter Bretta.  Marlon loved working on his home and yard.  It was important to him to create a beautiful safe home for his family.  Christmas was without a doubt his favorite time of the year.  Marlon loved spending time watching movies and his favorite sitcoms, playing games, go karting, weekend trips to Saskatoon and Medicine Hat, he was a big fan of Jeff Gordon, so Sundays were spent watching Nascar.  Marlon was always the life of the party, cracking jokes and making family laugh until they cried.  He was the ultimate definition of selfless, never one to ask for help but always the first in line to help anyone who needed it.  He will be greatly missed by all who knew him and loved him.  He is predeceased by his father Elmer, his brother Stephen and countless other family members.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in trust to Dayton and Bretta at Innovation Credit Union in Swift Current, SK.  A private family celebration of life service will be held at a later date.  For further information or to sign the family book of condolence, visit www.parksidefuneralhome.com.
