Obituary of Dorothy Tilly Wallace

WALLACE - Dorothy was born March 7, 1920.  She passed away peacefully at the age of 99 on June 20, 2019 at Cypress House in Swift Current, SK.  Dorothy was born on the family farm at Pense, SK and moved to Isham SK with her family at the age of 8.  She attended school at Isham and Luther College, Outlook and Regina campuses.  On October 31, 1942 she married Les Wallace and they began their farming career at Tyner, SK.  In 1976 they semi-retired to Swift Current where she enjoyed playing bridge, sewing, gardening, camping and travelling Saskatchewan.  She is survived by her 4 children, Joan (Cam), Audrey (Dale), Bob (Heather) and Lorne (Rita).  She is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.  She was predeceased by her husband Les (2005), father Elmer, mother Lilly, sister Alice, brother George and grandson Pierre.  A private family service will be held on Friday, June 28, 2019 at Parkside Memorial Funeral Home.  Donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation in memory of Dorothy would be greatly appreciated by the family.  For further information or to sign the family book of condolences, visit www.parksidefuneralhome.com.  Arrangements are in care of Parkside Memorial Funeral Home – Ryan Cappelle.
