Obituary of Annette Marie Therese McGovern

      Annette McGovern (nee Tessier), surrounded by family, passed away at Medicine Hat Regional Hospital on February 12, 2019 at age 92, 10 days short of her 93rd birthday. Annette was born in St. Boniface, Manitoba and moved to Saskatchewan at an early age. She spent her early years working in Regina where she met her husband Raymond. They were married on November 7, 1949 in Regina and then moved to the Scotsguard area to take over the family farm.  Annette and Raymond farmed in the Scotsguard area until Raymond’s death in 2008. She was predeceased by her husband, Raymond, her son Bruce and daughter Annette. She is survived by children: Patrick (Melanie), Carol Lapointe, Lila Dumbleton (Dave), Debra Irwin (Brian), Dale, Christopher and Brian (Esperanza); 10 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. For the past 5 years Annette was a resident of Revera Retirement Home in Medicine Hat, Alberta. She will be greatly missed by her remaining family and will be fondly remembered by all who knew her for her legendary wit and love of laughter. Funeral services will be held at Parkside Memorial Funeral Home, 4th Avenue N.E, Swift Current, Saskatchewan on Saturday, February 16th at 11:00 AM.
