Doreen was a fun loving woman who was always reaching out to help others. If there was something she could do to help out someone in need she would find a way to make it happen. She never tired of putting others before herself. She was very humble always looking for the good in others. For many years she worked as a cook at the K-motel allowing her to embrace her passion of cooking. Cooking up a meal for someone always made her happy not to mention she was the best cook ever, able to add a pinch of this and dash of that turning left overs into a gourmet meal. Family was important to Doreen and she valued every moment spent with her kids, grandkids and great grandkids. Her social nature allowed her to enjoy time with friends playing cards and sharing stories. She loved to collect spoons, china, bells and any knick-knacks that would fill up the space in her home. She graced us with her determination, welcoming spirit and faith that we may go forth and share these gifts with the rest of the world. Donations in her memory can be made to Canadian Cancer Society.
