Obituary of Hugh Vernon Lynnes

LYNNESS – Hugh Vernon of Swift Current passed away at the Meadow Long Term Health Care Facility on Sunday, November 25, 2018. He lost his battle with cancer at the age of 77.  He was born October 30, 1941 in Cabri, SK to Inez & Ingvald Lynnes.  He grew up on the family farm south of Pennant.  Hugh attended Country Schoold at Orillia’s Vergland and later Dickson School.  The family moved to Swift Current, so Hugh and his sister, Donna would be close to school.  He and his Dad continued to farm from town.  They farmed land his grandfather had homesteaded.  Hugh was a very quiet person.  He attended Church regularly.  When he retired from farming, his social life was his coffee friends.  Hugh is predeceased his parents, Inez & Ingvald, his sister Donna Labarowski (Walter).  He is survived by nephews, Doug (Darlene) Labarowski, Don (Kim) Labarowski and numerous cousins.  The family would like to thank the staff at Clover House for the excellent care.  At Hugh’s request there will be no funeral service.  For further information or to sign the family book of condolence visit www.parksidefuneralhome.com.  Arrangements are in care of Parkside Memorial Funeral Home – Swift Current, SK.
