Obituary of Harry E. Modin

MODIN – Harry passed away on June 17, 2018 at the Cypress Regional Hospital in Swift Current, SK.  He was born November 24, 1928 to Erick & Lydia Modin in Viking, AB.  Harry is survived by his wife, Evelyn; daughter Carol (Gary) Coombs; son Brent (Sheryl);  grandsons, Kyle, Braden, Conner and Monty Modin.  He is also survived by his brothers Ben (Betty) Modin, Louis (Audrey) Modin; sister-in-law Carolyn Modin & Ruth Modin.  He was predeceased by his granddaughter Meaghan Modin, brothers Carl & Milton Modin; parents Erick & Lydia Modin and two younger siblings Helen.  He like to read and followed politics.  Dad was raised on the farm near Bruce and being the eldest he had to quit school and help run the farm when his father was sick and then passed away.  A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 28, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Full Gospel Church.  For those wishing to make a donation in memory of Harry, they may do so to the Alzheimer’s Society.  For further information or to sign the family book of condolence, visit www.parksidefuneralhome.com.  Arrangements are in care of Parkside Memorial Funeral Home – Ryan Cappelle.
