LOEPPKY – Emilie (Mollie) Zeta Loeppky (née Frodle) was born October 20th 1924 in a farmhouse at Portreeve SK to parents Robert and Mary Frodle. She was the youngest of two daughters. Emilie grew up in the Portreeve area and later lived with her family in Beverly Sk. She eventually met and married Ed Loeppky. They settled in Pambrun SK where they operated a confectionary and had their two children: Leslie and Deborah. The family moved to Swift Current and took up residence on the south side of the city. Emilie worked at the Southside Co-op in many departments but was most known for her operation of the Southside Post Office until her retirement in 1985. More recently, she was a resident at the Riverview Village Estates before her transfer to the Swift Current Care Home. Emilie passed away on October 23, 2016 while residing at the Meadows in Swift Current SK. She is predeceased by her sister Emma Wotypka, her husband Ed, her son Les, her daughter Deborah as well as her parents and many other in-laws and extended family. She is survived by daughter-in-law Clara Loeppky, granddaughter Leshia Pidperyhora (Colin), grandson Devin Loeppky, and great grandchildren Andrew and Ryane. Emilie’s funeral will take place at Bridgeway Community Church Saturday, October 29th at 2pm. Donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
