Obituary of Alfred Reimer

REIMER – Alfred Arnold passed away peacefully at Herbert on Monday, February 11, 2008 with his family by his side. Alfred Arnold Reimer was born to Peter and Lydia Reimer on February 2, 1920 at Rush Lake, SK.
He was baptized and confirmed at Peace Lutheran Church, Rush Lake and he received his education at Swan Lake School. He was always active in farming and enjoyed seeing the crops grow. In 1947 he married Phyllis Eichorst from Lanigan, and together they worked in farming and dairy until he retired to live in Herbert. Alfred is survived by his loving wife, Phyllis of 60 years; his sisters, Margaret (Meyer) of Kelowna, B.C. Laura Steinley of Victoria, B.C.; his children; Shirley (Allen) Dilworth, Garnet Reimer, Sharon (Dave Wiebe), Lorna (George) Tsougrianis, Terry Reimer and Landis Reimer (Gaylyne). He also leaves 8 grandchildren: Corey Wiebe (Nicole), Taki Tsougrianis (Jay), Erini Hoffman (Mike), James Tsougrianis, Christopher Reimer, Chance Reimer, Josh Reimer and Brandon Hughes. He also leaves to mourn 5 great-grandchildren; Cole Wiebe, Jayda Wiebe, Seinna Tsougrianis, Ele Tsougrianis, George Tsougrianis and many nieces and nephews. Alfred was predeceased by his parents, Peter and Lydia Reimer; brothers, Arthur, Arnold and Alden. A funeral service was held on Friday, February 15, 2008 at 2:00 pm. from the chapel of Parkside Memorial Funeral Home with Pastor Terry Simonson officiating. The interment took place at Hillcrest Cemetery, Swift Current, SK. For further information or to sign the family book of condolence, visit our website at parksidefuneralhome.com.
