HOLDERBEIN Sarah, aged 96 years of Swift Current, Saskatchewan has gone home to be with the Lord, on October 15, 2008. Mom lived a happy and rewarding life. She was a member of the Eastside Church of God starting in the Hallonquist District and continuing in Swift Current. She loved cooking and preparing meals for anyone who stopped in. The memories of Sarah could go on for paragraphs. Sarah was predeceased by her husband, William, in 1975; sons, Gordon, in 1995, and Harry, in 2006; granddaughter, Kimberly Banman, in 1989; grandson, Perry Holderbein, in 2006. Sarah leaves to cherish her children: Jelena (Don) McColl, Diane (Henry) Banman, Allan (Sheila) Holderbein, Ken (Val) Holderbein and Lyle (Kathy) Holderbein; daughters-in-law, Anne Holderbein and Marlene Holderbein, Val (Roger) Rayner; as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. There are over 80 descendants in this immediate family. Sarah’s legacy will live on forever. As of today, Heaven is a better place. The funeral service was held on Sunday, October 19, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at Eastside Church of God with Pastors Ed Hyatt and Kevin Snyder officiating. The pianist was Kathy Holderbein. The tributes were by her grandchildren and the obituary was read by, Alanna Pawluk. The ushers were, Leonard Schwartz, Glenn Harder, Brian Busse, and Roger Rayner. The pallbearers were: Trent McColl, Kevin Banman, Darren Holderbein, Scot Rayner, Lorne Holderbein, and Kelly Pawluk. The interment was held at Mount Pleasant Burial Park, Swift Current. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Eastside Church of God Building Fund.
