NEUSTAETER – Helen (Heinrichs) passed away peacefully December 22, 2008. Sister Jessie, brothers Jim and Jake were by her side, and her stuffed rabbit named Matilda in her arm, at the Palliser Regional Care Centre. Helen was born to Isaac and Sara Heinrichs on June 4, 1928 in the Wymark District, the oldest of fourteen children.
She was married to John Neustaeter on November 14, 1948. They had four children; Dennis, Larry, Theodora, and Cheryl. They are survived by four grandchildren: Debbie, Lawrence, Devin, and Nicole; five great-grandchildre: Sabrina, Shade, Joshua, Tyrae, and Tianna. She is survied by brothers Johnny, Jake, Harry (Hanna), Karl (Laura), Jim, Ed (Judy), Ernie, and sisters Sally Pukas and Jessie (Abe) Neustaeter. Two Sisters-in-law Phyllis and Frances, and many adoring nieces and nephews. Helen was predeceased by her husband John in March 2003, daughter Theodora Anne in November 1958 (in infancy), her father Isaac in November 1988, her mother Sara in January 1995, brothers Henry in May 1934 (in infancy), Abe in January 1990, Ike in February 1992, and Pete in August 2003. Sister-in-law Sarah Heinrichs in April 2001, brother-in-law Terry Pukas in June 2001, niece Sadie Reddekopp in August 2000, nephews Trevor Pukas in July 1992, and Shane Heinrichs in September 2006. A Memorial service was held at Fairview Bible Chruch on December 30, 2008 with Pastor David Pollard officiating. Internment to take place at a later date. donations may be made to the Gideon’s International or the Salvation Army in lieu of flowers.
