It is with sadness that the family of Sam (Oscar) Busse announce his passing. Sam passed away on July 13,2009 at the Gull Lake Special Care Center. He was born on November 4, 1921 at Gull Lake.
He grew up on the family farm “on the Bench”. He received his education at Twin Butte school and Gull Lake High School. He worked on the farm until he enlisted in the Army. He married Gwen Wilson on October 30, 1946.He had various jobs but farming was what he liked best. He farmed north of Frontier. He enjoyed fishing and golfing, which he shared with his grandchildren. As the number of his grandchildren grew so did the things that grandpa had to learn about, everything from bagpipes, fencing (not barbed wire) soccer, knitting, crocheting , he knew all the usual sports kids do and he was a great fan for all of them.
