Obituary of Ellen Weston

WESTON, Ellen, Georgina of Swift Current formerly of Antelope Lake District, age 73 passed away Oct.16, 2009. Ellen was born at Estevan, Saskatchewan on June 3, 1936, the youngest child of Walter and Robertina Molyneux. Ellen was united in marriage to the late Maurice Weston in 1963 and they resided in the family farm until moving to Swift Current in 1998. Ellen spent her life being a wife and mother to her 3 children and beloved grandmother to her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Ellen was predeceased by her son Dale in 1999 and her husband Maurice in 2003. Ellen was also predeceased by her parents, 2 brothers and sister. Ellen leaves behind to mourn her passing her beloved dog Blaze, son Neil (Crystal Weston), daughter Leanne (Roy Brown) and her grandchildren: Laura LeClaire, Eric and Neil Jr. Weston, Amanda and Kyle Brown, Abbygale Weston and great grandchildren: Zachary, Reilly, Carsyn and Gavin LeClaire, Callie and Aaden Weston. She is also survived by her brother George (Eva) Molyneux and her special nieces and nephew Noreen Steffins, Brenda Grutzner and Brent Molyneux. Ellen was very talented and enjoyed many crafts, most who knew her received gifts created with her own hands that they will treasure always. Ellen was a devoted animal lover and life time member of the SPCA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ellen`s memory to the Swift Current SPCA. The Memorial Service was held on Thursday, October 22, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at Parkside Memorial Funeral Chapel.
