MARTINSON: Mrs. Georgina (Bubs) Martinson age 73 of 158 2nd Ave SE, Swift Current, SK passed away at Regina General Hospital October 20, 2009. A private family graveside service was held Oct 24th, 2009 at 2:00 pm at Mount Pleasant Cemetery Swift Current with Rev. Lorne Davis officiating. Her cremated remains will be laid to rest in the plot next to her parents George and Violet Goldbeck and her grandparents Ben and May Pearson. Bubs is survived by her husband of 53 years Robert (Bud) Martinson; her daughter Deb (Kelvin) Waker and their sons, Marshall and Keegan all of Swift Current. Her sister Norma Terlson of Weyburn, her children Pat (Richard) Klein and their children Leah (Travis) Wolfe and Kyla Klein both of Regina. Elaine Anderson and her children Amy Moore, Sara Anderson, Morgan Anderson all of Weyburn. Craig (Carrie) Terlson and their children Tessa, Eilah, and Reba all of Winnipeg. Bubs was predeceased by her parents George and Violet Goldbeck and her brother in law William Terlson. Bubs was born in Cadillac, SK on Sept 26th, 1936. She married Bud on May 9, 1956 at the First United Church and remained in Swift Current her whole life. She was employed by the South side Pioneer Co-op for 25 years. For many years she served on the Palliser Auxiliary, where she truly enjoyed making the patients days a little bit brighter. Beyond this her greatest joy was to be grandma to Marshall and Keegan, her only grandchildren. In Lieu of Flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society 1220A 1150 Central Ave N, Swift Current S9H 4C8, and these will be greatfully appreciated by the family.
