BEISEL – Molly aged 88 years of Swift Current, Saskatchewan and formerly of Tompkins, Saskatchewan, passed away on Wednesday, November 18, 2009 at her home with her daughters Vivian, Pearl and Maxine by her side. Molly was born on November 20, 1920 at Verchna Grasnucka Saratov, Russia. Her parents, Peter and Anna Loose immigrated to Canada when Molly was two years of age and settled on a farm in the Empress, Saskatchewan area. She attended school to the eighth grade when she had to leave in order to help at home. She then went to work for her Aunt Mary and Uncle Jake Loose at Rush Lake, Saskatchewan. She met David Beisel and they were married on June 16, 1940 at Estuary, Saskatchewan and moved to a farm 12 miles north of Tompkins, Saskatchewan that Dave had rented from Allen Brownstone. They stayed on that place for six years, then bought the Reinhold Erickson farm three and half miles north of Tompkins and kept the farm with hired help. She helped with the various businesses of Coal and Wood and for North Star Gas and Oil Company, they also had the Massey Harris Implements dealership, all this was on the north side of town, across from the elevators. The house got too small, so in 1960 they bought the Minnie Henry house. They sold the businesses in 1963 and in 1972 sold the farm. In 1997 they moved to Swift Current. After the passing of her husband, in 2004, she moved into an apartment to which she decorated to her liking. She enjoyed her hobby of crocheting and the family has many of her dollies, dresser scarf’s and crochet afghans. She kept her home to perfection and cared for her family. In later years, she found that going for coffee and the odd card game was enjoyable. She especially enjoyed the visits and phone calls from her family and friends. Predeceased by her husband David, her parents Peter and Anna Loose, grandson Gaylin Wedrick, sons-in-law Gordon Keith and Guy Sandilands, grandson-in-law Perry Thoreson, one brother David and brother-in-law Norman Merkel. She is survived by her three daughters; Vivian Tuchscherer (Joe), Pearl Wedrick (Bruce) and Maxine Heiser (Jack), grandchildren; Marcella Thoreson, Sheldon Keith (friend Sandie), Ricky Wedrick, Donna Holeksa (Christopher), Michelle Heiser (Scott Bailey), Courtney Heiser (Kevin Wall), grandchildren-in-law; Kevin Tuchscherer (Wendy) and Michelle Tuchscherer (Brad Fennig)), four great grandchildren; Christina Dueck (Nathan), Mercades, Porscha and Calvin, great great grandchildren; Dontey, Damien, Zachary and Alizabeth, great granddaughter-in-law Keeley and Cutler; two sisters; Esther Gilson (Dave) and Alma Merkel, two brothers; Mel Loose (Mary) and Bob Loose (Lou), her extended family of three sisters-in-law Lily Steingard, Edna MacRae and Elsie Beisel, three brothers-in-law Rueben (Esther) Beisel, Samuel (Betty) Beisel and Hubert (Ann) Beisel, as well as by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. A funeral service was held on Monday, November 23, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. from the chapel of Parkside Memorial Funeral Home with Reverend Bonita Chad officiating and Marilyn King was the organist.
