Loeppky-It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Edmond G. Loeppky of Swift Current, a loving father, husband and grandfather on Friday, July 16, 2010 at the PalliserRegionalCareCenter surrounded by his family, at the age of 90 years. Ed was born at his family’s farmhouse in Wymark, SK on February 5, 1920.
Ed enjoyed several careers throughout his lifetime. He was a Realtor and he owned and operated Nodge Real Estate for many years, as well as he was a dedicated Firefighter for the Fire Department for Swift Current. Ed enjoyed many interests. Ed was a true fan of the Swift Current Bronco Hockey Team. He never missed a game if at all possible. He was a dedicated baseball fan of the Swift Current Indian’s Baseball Team, and he enjoyed visiting with family and friends on coffee row. Ed was predeceased by daughter Deborah Lynn, mother Anna, father John T., brothers: Abe, Peter, John, Erdman, Gehard, George, Dave, and Hank, sisters: Margaret Loeppky, Helena Loeppky, and Lena Giesbrecht, as well as many brother and sister-in-laws, and nieces and nephews. He is survived by his wife Emilie (Mollie), son Les (Clara), grandchildren: Leshia Pidperyhora (Colin), great grandchild Andrew, and Devin Loeppky , as well as many nieces and nephews whom he was always excited to see and to visit with. He will be missed by everyone who loved him dearly. The Memorial Service was held at GraceUnitedChurch on July 21, 2010 with Bonita Chad officiating. Donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Firefighters Burn Unit would be appreciated by the family.
