PETERS – Lisa Marie of Swift Current, SK passed away suddenly on Sunday, October 23, 2011 at the age of 40. Lisa was born to Henry & Cecilia Peters on November 14, 1970. Lisa received her education at Oman School, Beatty School and the Swift Current Comprehensive High School and grew up in Swift Current.
Lisa leaves to mourn her 6 year old son Thomas Alfred, her parents Henry & Cecilia Peters, her brothers Alan, John (Maryanne) Willie (Justina); nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends. She is predeceased by her grandparents and 2 uncles. Lisa worked at several part-time jobs and made many new friends wherever she worked. She finally found a job at Walmart and worked there for the last 3 ½ years. She loved working at Walmart and enjoyed each and everyone of her many customers and all the wonderful people she worked with. Lisa was baptized in her faith at a young age. Lisa spent her free time with her family and friends and she tried to always be there for each one of them when they needed her. Lisa would often step in and befriend the underdog or people in need of a good friend. Lisa especially missed her dear friend Natasha when she passed away. She loved and cared for all of her bowling partners, especially her teammates Carrie Funk, Artel Lenuik, and her coach and friend Judy Kress. Lisa was in the Special Olympics Bowling League for years and won many medals for all of her accomplishments. Lisa’s great pride and joy was her son Thomas, he was the #1 man in her life. Thomas brought so much joy to Lisa’s life. In memory of Lisa donations may be made to a Trust Fund for Thomas at either the Credit Union or to the M.T.L.
