Obituary of Eva Braun

Please share a memory of Eva to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Eva Braun October 20, 1926-February 20, 2012 Eva was born in the Dunelm area on the family farm Oct 20, 1926. She was the 7th child of Henry and Maria Wall. The family would grow to include 14 children. Other than one year in Moose Jaw, she spent her entire life in the Swift Current area. She was a former long time employee of Pioneer Co-op. Her career with them began at the Central Avenue store as well as the mall and south side outlets. She was a tireless and faithful employee who took pride in knowing just about every customer’s co-op number. Her work provided opportunity to meet and befriend an uncountable number of people. She continued with many of these relationships throughout her retirement years. Due to a sudden illness, in June of 2008, she was hospitalized and eventually admitted to the Palliser Care Centre where she was lovingly cared for by the staff. She was passionate about her family and her many friends. You knew that you were always welcome at her home. She loved to bake and cook, and delightful aromas met you as you entered her home. She happily shared her pies and buns with anyone who was willing to receive them. She also baked pies for various church events at the Eastside Church of God that she attended. She loved to look after her flower gardens and she shared extensively with any friends or family who were starting their own flower gardens. Her fingers were always busy knitting or sewing quilts. She tirelessly worked to make sure that each of her children and grandchildren had their own quilt. Sadly, many projects were left unfinished. She was pre-deceased by her parents, Heinrich and Maria Wall. Also by 7 brothers and sisters(Henry, Jake, Abe, Mary Braun, Anne Kehler, Agnes Harder, Margaret Dyck and one great grand child(Braylen Bochinski). Eva is survived by her children: Dennis(Dianne) Braun of Wetaskiwin, AB; Larry Braun, and the children’s mother, Sharon Braun of Medicine Hat, AB; Linda(Arnold) Martinson of Calgary, AB; Les(Pat) Braun of Medicine Hat, AB. She was the proud grandmother of 11grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers Herman(Rita) Wall of Swift Current; Bill(Marilyn) Wall of Swift Current, John Wall, Medicine Hat, AB and sisters Tina Wiebe(Abbotsford, BC), Helen Dyck( Brooks, AB); Elizabeth Dyck(Swift Current); and sisters-in-law Anne(Jake)Wiebe, Vanderhoof, BC, and Tina Braun(La Crete, AB), as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She will be lovingly remembered by her family and countless friends. The family would like to express their sincere and heart-felt thanks to the staff of the Palliser Regional Care Centre for their loving care. Your kindness will not be forgotten.
