It is with great sadness that the family of Vonnie Bader announce her passing at the age of 78. Vonnie was born to George and Leontina Sartison on the Heid Family farm near Scottsburgh Sk. She was the oldest of three children. She attended grade one in Scottsburgh and the rest of her schooling was taken in Luxor school at Neidpath, Sk. In 1953, Vonnie was part of the first graduating class of the Luxor School. It was a class of three girls. Vonnie loved to grow house plants, particularly African Violets. She was a very good cook and gardener. Some of her other hobbies include reading, crochet, and sewing. When Melvin passed away in May of 2004, Vonnie carried on the farm for one more year and then spent the winters, house sitting in Swift Current. After moving into Swift Current , Vonnie became very active in the Eastside Church of God and was a member of two Bible Study groups. She also enjoyed volunteering at The Centre. Vonnie enjoyed visiting with friends and looked forward to the Sartison cousins gatherings once a month. Vonnie also treasured her time spent with “the girls”, her cousins, Marlene Holderbein, Lucille Thomson and Faye Rister. Mom also loved to spend time with her family at special occasions and Vonnie and Daughter, Charlotte had many fun times just going shopping.

She was predeceased by husband Melvin Bader, parents George and Leontina Sartison, brother, Ken, father-in-law Emil Bader, brothers-in-law Marvin Bader and Dave Wilson and one sister-in-law Margaret Bader.
