LOEPPKY, Leslie (Les) Wayne, was born December 11, 1948 in the Vanguard Hospital, and passed away April 19, 2013 at the Cypress Regional Hospital. Born to parents Ed and Emilie (Mollie) Loeppky, they lived in Pambrun, Saskatchewan until 1955 when they moved to Swift Current and took up residence on 4th Ave SE. Les attended Oman School for his elementary years followed by Beatty Collegiate for high school. He married wife Clara in September of 1973 and together they had daughter Leshia in 1980 and son Devin in 1983. Les was a member of the Eliminators Car Club for the past 43 years. He worked for Rita Pump, and was a realtor at Nodge Real Estate before transitioning to Insurance Sales in 1977. He owned and operated Key Agency from 1986 until his early retirement in 2009. Les passed away at the Cypress Regional Hospital on Friday April 19, 2013. He is predeceased by his father Ed Loeppky, his sister Deborah Lynn Loeppky, his father-in-law Lloyd, his mother-in-law Vivian, and many other members of his extended family. Les is survived by his mother Mollie, his wife Clara; his children Leshia and Devin; his son-in-law Colin; and his grandchildren Andrew and Ryane; as well as many brother and sister-in-laws, nieces, nephews, and cousins. In memory of Les, donations in lieu of flowers can be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association. The memorial service was held on Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at Bridgeway Community Church with Pastor Bob Cappelle officiating. Interment was held at Mount Pleasant Burial Park. Honorary pallbearers were members of the Eliminators Car Club. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Parkside Memorial Funeral Home, Swift Current, Saskatchewan.
