MILLER Mr. Bruno Adolf Miller, was born on October 11, 1934 in the village of Rhinefelt near McMahon, Saskatchewan. Dad attended Iris school until Grade 5. In the spring of 1946, the family moved to their farm near Herbert. He continued to attend school in Herbert and graduated in 1953. Bruno married Carol Beisel on October 18, 1963 at Peace Lutheran Church in Prairie View, Saskatchewan. He was active as an R.M. councillor and Reeve and the president of the Herbert Co-op board, chairman of the Lutheran Church council, and the Herbert Credit Union. He played a key role in the development of the Herbert Community College, the National Farmer’s Union, and the Wheat Pool. He also collected weather data for Environment Canada and helped in the fundraising and building of the local Sports Complex. His passion, vision, and service for his community was evident in how he lived his life. Bruno and Carol had three children, Lynn, Coreen, and Grant. Their family continued to grow over the years with the addition of nine grandchildren that he loved dearly. Bruno had a passion for history and storytelling and a love for learning that he enjoyed sharing with others. He also enjoyed watching curling and spent many a cold winter’s day engrossed in the game. He also loved dancing with his wife and friends. Bruno’s passion was farming and working the land. His life was dedicated to family and farming. Bruno was predeceased by his father Adolph Miller in 1989 and his mother Julianna Miller in 1999 and his brother Edward Miller in 2001, his father-in-law Herman Beisel in 1988, his mother-in-law Rose Beisel in 2006. He was also predeceased by his brother-in-laws Herb Eisenbarth and Bob Sproule. He leaves to mourn his wife of 50 years Carol, daughter Lynn and husband Ron, their children Nicole and husband Murray, Ryan, Anthony, and Jennifer; daughter Coreen and husband Greg and their children Zachary and Nicholas; and son Grant and wife Tracy and their children Jordan, Jonathan, and Joshua. He also leaves his sisters Natalie, Rose, Lottie, Kathy, and husband Larry and brother Ron and wife Elsie and many treasured nieces and nephews. Bruno was called home on May 18th in a farming accident doing what he loved. The interment was held at the Herbert Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Parkside Memorial Funeral Home, Swift Current, Saskatchewan.
