BURRELL Mrs. Joyce. It is with great sadness the family of Joyce Burrell, age 74, announce her passing on May 26, 2013 in Swift Current, SK. Joyce is survived by her sister, Ruth Drynan; sons: Dave (Tracey), Dean, Brian and John (Cindy) Burrell; grandchildren: Chrystal Burrell, Amanda Vanbocquestal, Shayna Burrell, Brandon Neilson, and Kylie Ratz; one great-grandson, Dom Rankine. Joyce (Joy) was married to Mark Burrell in December 1958 in Lloydminster and were married for 53 years. Joyce was a certified nursing aid, volunteered as president of the diabetic association in Swift Current, and enjoyed membership in an artist guild as a painter. Joyce also enjoyed writing short stories. While living in Lloydminster, Joyce and Mark Burrell listened to the True Servants Of God sharing the gospel message and made their choices in following after the example of Jesus. The funeral service was held on Thursday, May 30, 2013 at The Swift Current Legion. The interment was held at Hillcrest Cemetery.
