ANDERSON Mr. Stanley W.
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Stanley W. Anderson on May 26, 2013, while he was working on the Anderson family homestead farm near Hallonquist Stanley was born February 10, 1945 in Swift Current Union Hospital as the third of four children and only son of Melvin and Elsie Anderson. Stan had to put his farm knowledge to use at the age of 12, taking over the responsibility as his dad suffered a heart attack and was recovering in hospital for the farming season. At the age of 25, Stan married LeAnne Shook, moved to the homestead farm and together they had three children, Jerilyn, Chad and Evan. Stan loved and took great pride in his farm. He had a passion for auction sales, an exceptional knowledge of mechanics and an entrepreneurial spirit which he melded into an agricultural salvage business, Anderson Agri Parts in 1990. After Stan and LeAnne went their separate ways, Diane Dueck became a close and loved companion to Stan. They spent much time working, playing and travelling together the past decade. Stan loved reading history books compiled by the surrounding communities and collecting antiques. He had a great appreciation for live music, loved rodeoing, dancing and could tell a great story. Stan enjoyed spoiling his nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great nieces and nephews when he found time to get off the tractor or out of the agrisalvage lot. Stanley leaves to grieve: his companion Diane Dueck; and his children: Jerilyn (Trent) Sim, grandchildren Cassidy and Chastan; and Evan (Alison) Anderson, granddaughter Evangelene. He is survived by his three sisters: Gladys (Dennis) Stolz,, Norma (Marvin) Busse and Julie (Bob) Jorgensen and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son, Chad Anderson, his parents, Melvin and Elsie Anderson and numerous aunts and uncles. The Funeral service was held on Saturday, June 1, 2013 at Bridgeway Community Church with Pastor Bryon Bezanson officiating. The interment was held at Memory Gardens Cemetery, Swift Current, Saskatchewan. Memorial donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or to the Canadian Diabetes Association. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Parkside Memorial Funeral Home, Swift Current, Saskatchewan. For further information or to sign the family book of condolence visit parksidefuneralhome.com.
