ANDRES – Chantel Dawn (Mason) – passed away at home on Friday, December 6, 2013 at the age of 33. Chantel was born in Swift Current, SK on August 3, 1980. Chantel is survived by her husband Kerry, and her 3 precious children; Keenen, Cole and Avery; her mother Joanne Mason; Bud Cates (Step-father); brother Jeff Mason (Kristin) and Cyanna; father Kim Mason (Tammy); brothers, Parker, Mackenzie; grandparents Lloyd (Arlene) Mason; aunts Laurie (Bob) Talaga, Suzie (Wayne) Lacher; uncles Roger Legault, Robert (Bonnie) Legault; special cousins Sandy (Mark) McNaughton – Mather, Daniel and Ashley; Shawn (Natelie) Legault; Jamie (Andrea) Lacher – Braiden and Brianna; Shannon (Stephan) Veilleux – Jane, Kate, Jacklyn, Nolan; Anna-Jean (Brian) Zukowski – Julie and Jenna; Kelsey (George) Tsougrianis – Jack; Brandon (Monique) Talaga, Hanna Nickson and Brett Talaga. She is also survived by her grandmother Katie Mathies, parents-in-law Corny (Betty) Andres, brother-in-law Stacey (Michelle) Andres – Theoron, Shaylee and McKenna; sister-in-law Kristy (Niel) Block – Hailey and Madison; special friends, Joan Cates, Lorrie, Girardeau, Tana Audette, Dot Berg, Fern Forsythe-Hohm, Roy and Alexis Krogsgaard and numerous other aunts, uncles and many friends. Chantel was predeceased by her grandmother Bernedette Legault (1998) and grandfather Marcel Legault (1998). All that knew Chantel understood that she dedicated her life to her family. Chantel was very proud of her children and loved them dearly. Her children came first from attending wrestling matches with Keenen and Cole to many Dr. visits with Avery. She was an exceptional Caregiver in all respects. She put everyone’s needs ahead of her own even when she was not feeling good. Chantel loved spending time camping with her family at the Landing. She also took pride in tending to her yard at home. Funeral services were held on Friday, December 13, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. from Eastside Church of God with Pastor Kevin Snyder officiating. The ushers were Jamie Lacher & Ken Doerksen. Pallbearers were: Jeff Mason, Parker Mason, McKenzie Mason, Brian Coultier, Devon Ebner and Shawn Legault. A tribute was read by Lorrie Girardeau & Tana Audette. Donations can be made in Memory of Chantel to the Rubinstein-Taybi Syndrome Children’s Foundation on their facebook page.
