ANDRES – John Wesley was born in Herbert, SK on February 19, 1933. He graduated from Herbert High School on June 30, 1951. John was employed with the Department of Highways from July 1951 to December 1953 as a Chainman/Instrumentman. He was later employed with the City of Swift Current Engineering Dept. from 1953-1957 as an Engineering Assistant. And then from April of 1957-1960 articled under J.C. Traynor as an Instrumentman/Party Chief with the Dept. of Highways. On June 1, 1963 he married Alice Buhr. They later had two children, Steven and Karen. John received a Commission as a Saskatchewan Land Surveyor in June of 1960 and worked until his retirement on May 31, 1987. John loved the outdoors and fishing in particular. He is survived by his wife Alice, son Steven, daughter Karen, sister Orlanda (Jerry) Mainil and many nieces and nephews and other extended family. John was predeceased by his parents and his brother Clarence. At his request there will be no funeral service. For those wishing donations may be made to the Salvation Army in memory of John.
