Shortly after they were married, they moved to Altona, MB. Their first 4 children were born there. They moved back to the Wymark area in 1949. Helen loved to garden and did a lot of canning. She was famous for her homemade soup. She was a “social butterfly” who loved to visit with her neighbors, and she was the unofficial welcoming committee for newcomers to the community. Her family was special to her and she enjoyed their company. In her later years, most of her visiting was done by phone, but she kept in touch with everyone she could. She will be greatly missed!
