Obituary of Robert Thomas Gage

GAGE – Robert Thomas – It is with great love and sadness we announce the passing of Robert (Bob) on Saturday, July 12, 2014. Bob was born January 19, 1943 in Brandon, MB. Bob was raised in Deloraine, MB. He then later moved to Portage la Prairie, MB where he graduated from high school. Bob and his family moved to Brandon, MB where Bob started with the TD Bank in October of 1964. Bob worked his way up the ranks of the bank and was transferred to 18 different branches from Manitoba, Saskatchewan and Ontario before retiring in Swift Current in July 1999 at the age 0f 56 when he relocated his office to the golf course. Bob married Judie Diachinsky on July 1, 1967. They have 2 sons, Michael born in 1971 and Sean in 1973. Bob was a loving son, husband, father, grandfather and uncle. He leaves behind his beautiful family to live his life within them; his loving wife Judie; son Michael (Cheryl) grandsons Robbie, Tommy & granddaughter Allyson of Saskatoon; son Sean of Airdrie, AB; sisters Bonnie (Arden) Fassnidge of Calgary & Debbie (Joe) Kury of Okotoks; brother-in-laws Les (Annemarie) Diachinsky & Ted Diachinsky; sister-in-law Donna Matsyk, and many nieces and nephews who Bob loved so very much. Bob was predeceased by his parents, Albert & Peggy Gage; in-laws Joe & Marie Diachinsky; brother-in-laws Danny Diachinsky, Allan Matsyk and nephew Chris Diachinsky. A memorial service was held on Saturday, July 19, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. from Christ The Redeemer Roman Catholic Parish with Father Richard Jasiak MSF officiating. The interment will take place at a later date in Deloraine, MB. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Saskatchewan Lung Association.
