Julian Orville Weiseth passed away peacefully at Cypress House in Swift Current at the age of 95 years. Dad is survived by his daughter Joy(Dennis) Stewart of Calgary, Alberta and sons Lanny (Patricia and their three children, Hannah, Noah, and Leah), and Brad. Julian is also survived by his son David (Irene) Weiseth of Shaunavon, Saskatchewan and sons Mark, Eric(Jireh), Darren (Jordan), and Blake(Meagan and their children Molly and Jasper), along with numerous nieces and nephews. Julian was predeceased by his parents Andrew and Sigrid Weiseth, son Dale, sisters Alice Riise and Signe Riis. He was also predeceased by his beloved wife of 68 years, Esther Lillian Weiseth on June 29, 2017. Born on October 1, 1922, Julian spent the majority of his life on the farm near Scotsguard, Saskatchewan. Though Dad and Mom left the farm in later years to move to Swift Current, Dad’s heart never left. Dad took his schooling along with one year of Bible School at L.C.B.I. in Outlook and a year of agriculture college in Saskatoon. He met and married the love of his life, Esther Lindland of Jenner, Alberta in Calgary. They were married on April 9, 1949. Dad was an amazing farmer. He was gifted in carpentry, mechanics, welding and fabricating, and strong on the business side. Dad was very involved in the church in Scotsguard and served many years as secretary, treasurer. Above all, Dad had a strong, quiet faith and a commitment to providing for his wife and family. He loved every minute that he spent with them. Dad was a wonderful story-teller with an amazing sense of humor. He will be dearly missed by all of us!
A family memorial service in honor of Dad will be held at a later date.
