KERELUIK – William (Bill) was born on January 1, 1938 in White Beach, SK to Max and Annie Kereluik. He passed away on March 23, 2015 in Swift Current, SK. Bill is survived by his wife Darlene Kereluik (nee Wilson); children, Calvin Kereluik (Louanne Morris), Sherry Kereluik and Carolynn Kereluik (Russell Snook); granddaughter Stephanie Kereluik; brothers John (Darlene) Kereluik, Arnold (Marlene) Kereluik, Melvin (Shirley) Kereluik, Eugene (Deloris) Kereluik, Ken (Lori) Kereluik; sisters Elizabeth Kazakoff, Louise (John) Smader, Mary Krochak, Sandra (Eldon)Gaff and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Max & Annie (nee Trembach) Kereluik; brothers Stan Kereluik, baby William Kereluik; sister Adeline Renaud; his in-laws, Leslie Wilson & Mildred Wilson (nee Saunders); 3 brother-in-laws Warren Wilson, Sam Kazakoff, Alvin Krochak and niece Karen Norrish. William (Bill) Kereluik grew up with his siblings on a farm in White Beach, SK. His first job when he left home was in Moose Jaw at Cushing Mills. He met his wife Darlene Wilson in Moose Jaw and married her July 30, 1960. In August 1963 they moved to Consul, SK where they raised their family. During this time in Consul Bill helped build the high school wing on to the school and the gymnasium. He was the custodian at the school, did carpentry work for many people in the area and was a trouble shooter for Sask Power. In the winter Bill helped with hockey games at the rink and curled. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing. In 1979 Bill and Darlene moved to Swift Current and while living in Swift Current Bill worked for McWilliam Sash and Door as well as Kruse Glass. In his retirement he spent time visiting with friends and family, doing carpentry work in his garage, fishing with his buddies, gardening and watching the birds that came to his many bird feeders. A memorial service was held on Saturday, March 28, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. from First United Church with Reverend Annette Taylor officiating. A eulogy was given by granddaughter Stephanie Kereluik. Honorary Pallbearers were all his family and friends. Donations may be made to the Diabetes Association or to the Heart & Stroke Foundation in memory of Bill.
