DYCK – Roy passed away on February 10, 2016. He was born on July 23, 1955 in Herbert, SK. He is survived by his wife Norma; son Rocky (Marla); daughter Melissa Epp ( Terry); son Trevor (Charlene); grandkids Stephen, Janine, Casey, Caitlyn, Kelsey, Laylah; his brothers and sisters Johnny, Cornie (Joe), Henry (Bev), Mary Dixon (Walter) Annie, Kathy Rude ( Reg) Ben and his sister-in-law Vi Dyck. He is predeceased by his parents Peter and Helena Dyck and brothers Elmer and Abe and many others . Roy grew up and went to school in Herbert Sk where he worked with his dad doing many different things – pouring cement, digging graves and hauling the Herbert garbage. He met and then married Norma on August 9/1980. He loved working on his models, doing carpentry and tinkering on different things. His love of Jeff Gordon and all things #24 is well known to all. We all loved the fact that he so enjoyed turning all the family pictures into movies. He worked for many years at Treens and more recently at United Taxi. He enjoyed going for coffee with friends and family, and going camping with all. He would drop everything to help anyone who asked but his greatest joy in his life was being with his family and his Pride & Joy was his grandkids. A funeral service was held on Wednesday, February 17, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. from the Community Baptist Church with Pastor Joell Haugan officiating. The pallbearers were: pallbearers were: Keith Dixon, Darrel Rude, Ron Dyck, Tim Frame, Brent Frame and Justin Zacharias. Readings by nieces Tracey Freire and Peggy Johnston & granddaughters Casey Epp, Kelsey Epp, Janine Fehr, Caitlyn Fehr as well as Perry Zacharias and Mary Gerbrandt. The interment took place at Schanzenfeld Cemetery, Wymark District. Donations in memory of Roy may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
