Obituary of Joseph Geissler

Geissler, Joseph aged 80 passed away on June 7th, 2017 at the Cypress Regional Hospital with his family by his side. At Joseph’s request there will be no funeral service. A private family burial will take place at the Lancer Cemetery at a later date. Joseph was born on July 2nd, 1936 in Cabri, SK to Gottleib and Regena. Joseph married Regina Tumbach on February 23rd, 1960. They farmed in the Cabri area until they retired to Swift Current in 2002. They had 2 daughters – Susan and Jacqueline (Jackie). Susan married Richard Kettler and they have two children – Amy (Peter) and Michael (Lacey). Jackie married Lyndon Shaw and they have three children – Kenneth (Melissa), Joel (Michelle), and Miranda (Jonathan). Joseph also has five great grandchildren that he adored – Kaityln & Dylan Herauf, Mackenzie Shaw, and Eva and Clay Shaw. Joseph is survived by two brothers Henry (Florence) and Robert (Beverly) and sister-in-law Marg. He was predeceased by his sister Elizabeth and his brother Albert and his parents. Joseph fought prostate cancer for 10 long years.
