Obituary of Rose Lacher

LACHER – Rose passed away at the Royal University Hospital in Saskatoon, SK on Wednesday, August 2, 2017. Rose was born on November 8, 1930 to John & Magdalena Koch in Linacre, SK. Rose married Gabriel Lacher and together they had 6 children: Garry, Wayne, Brian, Brenda, Julianne and Terry. Rose enjoyed bowling, bingo, meeting friends for meals, watching her children and grandchildren at their sports events, going to the lake and watching the Bronco hockey games which she was the longest standing season ticket holder. She joined the Oil Wives group in 1984. She loved her flowers, roses, petunias and all those with bright colors and she enjoyed Chinese food and had a real sweet tooth. Rose was also very involved over the years in her church and was a CWL member for 69 years. Rose is survived by her children: Garry (Shelley) Lacher of Drayton Valley, AB, Wayne (Susie) Lacher of Morin, AB, Brian (Betty) Lacher of Swift Current, SK, son-in-law John Hamilton of Swift Current, Julianne (Judy) Kress of Swift Current, Terry (Trudee) Lacher of Swift Current, SK; grandchildren Sandy (Mark) McNaughton, Wade (Shauna) Lacher, Jamie (Andrea) Lacher, Dwayne Lacher, Nathan Zacharias, Lacey (Ryan) Carlson, Jessy-Lee Lacher, Jason Hamilton, Megan Hamilton, Terra Kress, Dustin (Jessica) Kress and Jodi Kress. She was also survived by her siblings Loretta (Don) O’Bear, Jerry (Jeanette) Koch and Allan (Sheri) Koch. She is predeceased by her husband Gabriel of 47 years, parents John J. & Magdalena Koch and her daughter Brenda Hamilton (2000). A prayer service will be held Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. at Christ the Redeemer Roman Catholic Parish. A funeral mass was held on Thursday, August 10, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Christ the Redeemer Roman Catholic Parish. The interment took place at Mount Pleasant Burial Park, Swift Current, SK.
